Amadeus aims for cruise growth with new appointment
Amadeus has appointed Garry Brown as the technology company’s European cruise line sales manager.
Brown, who previously ran the cruise department for online travel agency Opodo, takes up his role as Amadeus looks to expand its cruise business in the UK and Europe.
Among Brown’s responsibilities will be to increase the profile of Amadeus’ latest cruise shopping and booking tool Cruise Shop.
“I am confident that my experience and industry contacts will support Amadeus’ continued growth within this flourishing sector, which has a lot to offer travel sellers and providers,” said Brown.
Brown has previously worked for a range of cruise companies including Royal Caribbean, Carnival UK and Star Clippers.
Eric Gignoux, Amadeus’ head of land and sea travel distribution, added: “Our appointment of Garry coincides nicely with our ambitions to develop the cruise distribution business within UK and Europe.”
