Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas arrives in the UK

Royal Caribbean’s latest ship arrived in Southampton yesterday, where it will remain homeported for the rest of the summer season.
The 4,905-passenger ship was greeted by its travel agent godmother Emma Wilby.
The line claims that Anthem is the “most technologically advanced” ship to be homeported in the UK.
It is the second of Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class ships, and offers robotic bartenders, sky-diving, onboard circus skills training and the largest sports and entertainment complex at sea.
Stuart Leven, UK and Ireland managing director at Royal Caribbean International, said: “Ships like Anthem of the Seas will help attract new groups of people and build the future of cruising. The UK and Ireland is our second largest market and with over 1.7 million Brits now taking a cruise every year it has huge importance for our business. So we’re over the moon that our latest Quantum-class ship is arriving today for the summer season.”
Dominic Paul, senior vice-president international, Royal Caribbean International, added: “We’re growing our capacity and expanding all over the world, with two new ships launched in the past six months and three on order. Anthem of the Seas will move cruising into a new era of growth.”
