Trip Advisor Just released its 2019 Travelers’ Choice Awards for best beaches in the world, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Engagement season is over, and now that you’ve got that rock on your finger, you’ve probably already swept yourself into wedding planning mode. Your location and date for the big day are probably already set, so now it’s time to think about all the pre- and post-wedding activities that need a time and place too, which this list can help with.

“With cold weather causing many of us to wish for sunnier days, now is the perfect time to make your dreams come true and plan your next beach getaway at one of these amazing, award-winning beaches!” Desirée Fish, vice president of global communications for TripAdvisor, said in a release. “This list of travelers’ favorite beaches around the world has something near or far for surfers and sunbathers alike.”

Whether you’re nailing down a bachelorette location or you’ve skipped ahead to the honeymoon, these beaches should definitely be top of mind. They all landed a spot on the list because they were the top reviewed and rated beaches on Trip Advisor, based on data gathered over a 12-month period. That means real people, just like you, thought these places were amazing so odds are you will too.

At the top of the list is Baia do Sancho in Fernando de Noronha, Brazil. One reviewer wrote: “This was truly a view I will never forget in my life. Such a beautiful and extraordinary place. You cannot describe in words the beauty of it. Magical!”

If you’re planning for epic honeymoon or bachelorette photos, this definitely sounds like the place to do it. Honestly, every place on this list does. From beaches in Africa to Australia to Greece, there are no shortage of enchanting places to travel for your beach vacation. Not everywhere on this list is halfway around the world, though. You can experience this same wonder at the domestic beaches that made the list. Trip Advisor’s sixth best beach in the world is actually Clearwater Beach in Florida. The domestic retreat is also at the top of Trip Advisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards for best beaches in the United States.

“Clearwater Beach continues to be one of the best beaches in the world, and it’s special to have the millions who make up the TripAdvisor community reaffirm that it truly is the number-one beach in America for the second straight year,”Leroy Bridges, vice president of digital communications for Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, said.

The number-two beach in America, Ka’anapali Beach in Lahaina, Hawaii, also shows up on the wold’s best list as number 14.
