Caribbean Travel Marketplace sets its 2020 location

Caribbean Travel Marketplace will take place at Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas early next year.

The annual event, produced by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, will mark its ninth return to the Bahamas; this will be its first Marketplace at Baha Mar, but the first Marketplace, 38 years ago, was at the long-gone Nassau Beach Resort, located on the site of the present Baha Mar complex.

Atlantis Paradise Island also served as the venue several times. The Bahamas, Jamaica and Puerto Rico have collectively hosted the most Marketplace events over the years.

By coincidence, the CHTA’s announcement of the 2020 venue took place on the exact day and hour that a shovel was placed in the ground eight years ago, for the groundbreaking ceremony of Baha Mar.
