Cruise ship doctor reveals the big change on board when passengers suddenly realise THIS

He could be useful if passengers come aboard with a partner who is unwilling to dance or indeed if they are alone.

No matter how friendly crew are to passengers during a cruise, it’s important not to mistake “friendliness” for something more romantic – as this is not allowed on board.

Royal Caribbean cruise line explain in their Guest Conduct Policy that relationships between crew and guests are prohibited. 

“Our crew members are friendly, outgoing and helpful, and they will do their very best to make your vacation as enjoyable as possible,” explains the policy online. “Please do not misinterpret their friendliness. Crew members are prohibited from engaging in physical relationships with guests.”

Cruise staff have strict rules they need to abide by and could lose their jobs if found in a compromising situation.

“Crew members are not permitted to socialise with guests beyond their professional duties, and are not permitted to be in guest staterooms, except for the performance of their shipboard duties,” said Royal Caribbean.

“Guests are expected to respect these policies and are similarly prohibited from engaging in physical relationships with crew members. Guests are not permitted in any restricted or crew area of the ship, including crew staterooms and corridors.”
