Cruise ship passengers amazed when Captain makes very unusual decision during UK stop off
Matt Beeton, Chief Executive Officer Port of Tyne, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Azamara Cruises as we celebrate 20 years of cruising from the Port of Tyne.
“When we heard about a special order from Greggs we were only too happy to help, after all only the best is good enough for the Captain’s table.”
During the ship’s time in Newcastle, guests will enjoy trips to local landmarks including Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle, Durham Cathedral, Beamish Air Open Museum and York.
In July, Greggs announced their delivery service after 80 years in business. The bakery’s famous sausage rolls, bakes, wraps and breakfast menu items can now be delivered to more than one million doorsteps across London, Newcastle and Glasgow with hybrid marketplace for online food company, Just Eat.
Hannah Squirrell, Customer Director at Greggs, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Just Eat to make it even easier for our customers to enjoy their breakfast and lunch menu favourites.”
The exciting new partnership enables customers in London, Newcastle and Glasgow to order a select range of Greggs’ savoury and sweet menu items via Just Eat with no minimum spend, including Greggs’ famous Sausage Rolls, Vegan Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Doughnuts, Bacon Rolls and Coffees – perfect for breakfast or lunch.
