Fans can now travel to ‘Game of Thrones’ locations on a themed cruise ship

HBO’s Game of Thrones has captured the interest of many around the globe. The fans have eagerly awaited new seasons year after year. Now all the fans have an opportunity to travel to most notable filming locations in a series-based cruise ‘Cruise of Thrones’. The ship is set to sail in later 2021.

Fans can get reserve their place by paying an advance of $1000. The celebrity suite on the ship will cost $22,170 per person for the duration of the cruise. Other options range from $5,130 per person in an interior stateroom. The cruises have an option of two routes and will last for 8 days each. One route will take you to all the locations in Northern Europe like- Winterfell, King’s Road, Castle Black, etc. The other route will sail along the Dalmatian coast in Croatia and Mediterranean.

According to the company, the cruise taking the Dalmatian coast route will visit the city of Dubrovnik which is the most iconic destination. The Dubrovnik city in Croatia has been the filming location for King’s Landing, the fictional capital of Westeros in the series. The fans can also opt for a back-to-back ‘Known World Ultimate Cruise’ which will cover both the routes. The cruise company is encouraging fans to dress in the fantasy garb on board as many fan events like lectures, discussions, cosplay parades, scavenger hunts, art auctions, etc. are planned for this ‘ultimate fan event’.

According to a BBC report, The Game of Thrones franchise has encouraged tourism in Northern Ireland every year since it was the first announcement in 2010 and generated a revenue of $318 million to the region.
