Cruise captain reveals his unexpected dream destination isn’t as far as you might think

The good news is, it seems you do not need to journey too far to experience breathtaking routes and awe-inspiring travel.

James Griffiths, senior captain of the world’s first six-star luxury discovery yacht Scenic Eclipse, revealed his dream destination is a lot closer to home than you might expect.

Though he has explored remote destinations like Antarctica and the Arctic circle during his 20 years in the industry, there’s one journey he has always dreamed of taking.

“I have sailed to the majority of places it is possible to take a cruise ship at this point, but I have often thought that the UK is underserved as a cruise destination – we have so many interesting ports and things to see,” he told Express.co.uk.
