Annual promotion to be called CLIA Cruise Week
FORT LAUDERDALE — CLIA will rebrand National Cruise Vacation Week this year, vice president of trade relations Dwain Wall said at the Cruise3sixty convention.
The promotion, which runs Oct. 6 to 13, will be marketed as CLIA Cruise Week, Wall said.
He also suggested a new call to action for industry advertising: “For more information, contact your CLIA travel professional.”
Wall said he has been working on expanded benefits for CLIA travel agent members, including preferential access to fams, seminar-at-sea programs and invitations to cruise ship inaugurals.
Also, CLIA President Christine Duffy said the group has agreed to return Cruise3sixty to Fort Lauderdale in 2015, 2017 and 2018. The dates next year will be April 22-26. Last year, the event was held in Vancouver.
