The Kruger National Park and Hwange National Park: Destinations for Safari Packages

This article shall briefly describe two national parks in Africa where guests are sure to experience the best safari packages.  These two national parks are the Kruger National Park in South African and Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe

The Kruger National Park is a family friendly safari destination that provides options for both organised and self-drive travel options. It is home to the Big Five and a world of other wildlife and birdlife. Activities such as guided walks, bird-watching, game drives and game viewing on horseback provide for exciting activities for visitors to do.

There is a fair selection of lodges to choose from in the Kruger. Hamiltons Tented Camp, Imbali and Hoyo Hoyo are three of the top class lodges to stay at, where Imbali is rated one of the top luxurious and romantic safari lodges, offering a great value for money experience.

There is a selection of lodges to choose from in the Kruger. For exclusive and romantic safari options look to the Kapama Game Reserve, where the Southern Camp, River Lodge, Buffalo Camp and Kapama Karula will delight you with whatever your needs may be.

The second national park where guests will enjoy the best African safari packages is Hwange National Park.  Hwange has always been renowned for its incredible diversity of wildlife, and to this day it boasts more varieties of mammal and bird species than any other Zimbabwean National Park. There are at least 100 species of mammals, including 19 large herbivores such as buffalo, eland, sable and wildebeest, and over 400 bird species. However, the area is particularly famous for its population of elephant, some 40,000 strong – combined with the elephants of northern Botswana this is the world’s largest contiguous elephant population.

The southern half of the Park where we operate is ecologically defined by the deep Kalahari sands which support impressive forests of teak and other hardwoods.  But scattered within the prevalent woodlands are ancient fossil lakebeds which are now large savannah grasslands. These areas are perfect for the plethora of Hwange’s grazers and thus provide some of the best game viewing in the park. This abundance of plains game also encourages a considerable number of large predators: the lions’ roars can often be heard from camp; several leopard territories surround the plains, wild dog den in the area in winter, and during the dry season it’s not uncommon to spot prowling cheetah and hyena.

In conclusion, guests are sure to enjoy the best of Africa if they book safari packages and visit one of these national parks in Africa
