Carnival Cruise Line opts for two ships in China

Carnival Cruise
Line will put not one, but two ships in China.

It said that the
2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle will be redeployed to China in 2017, followed
by the 3,006-passenger Carnival Splendor in 2018. Homeports
and itineraries in China were not announced for the two vessels.

Carnival’s
parent company, Carnival Corp., had previously said it would put one ship in
China
, along with a ship from its AIDA brand. Ships from Carnival’s Costa and
Princess brands are already sailing from China.

“The
collective scale of Carnival Corp.’s Asia operations is unparalleled and
enables us to tap into an immense network of resources and expertise as we
launch our China program,” Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy said.
