Tourists, Students: Ride The MTR From Hotels, Dorms In Hong Kong To A 3D Light Show

Each night from 9 to 28 December the Hong Kong Pulse 3D Light Show will play four times at 8.20 pm, 8.45 pm, 9.15 pm and 9.45 pm, with each session lasting about eight minutes.

From 10 to 29 February 2016 the show will coincide with Chinese New Year celebrations, playing at the same times each night.

The contents of the show will change to align with the respective theme it is coinciding with. Throughout WinterFest it will ‘unveil the dazzling images that add to the enchantment of the Christmas season.’

This spectacular 3D light show with exciting audiovisual effects will turn the iconic Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Clock Tower in Tsim Sha Tsui into colourful canvases, adding to the festive ambience of Hong Kong during the holiday season.

The music of the Hong Kong Pulse 3D Light Show is broadcast every night at the Open Piazza of the cultural centre, while spectators can also listen at the harbour-front area by downloading the Hong Kong Pulse Sound Track app.

The Hong Kong Cultural Centre is located on the Victoria Harbour waterfront on Salisbury Road, in what is Kowloon’s major shopping, dining and entertainment area.

The 44 metre-tall Clock Tower at the Star Ferry pier on Kowloon Point is a comfortable walk from the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. It was erected in 1915 as part of the Kowloon-Canton Railway terminus. The once-bustling station has long since gone, but this red brick and granite tower still stands as a reminder of the Age of Steam. It’s also been a landmark for the millions of Chinese immigrants who passed through the terminus to begin new lives in Hong Kong and beyond in other parts of the world. The Clock Tower was listed as a Declared Monument in the 1990s and is preserved as such.

The Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Clock Tower are situated near stations of the MTR (Mass Transit Railway) network, which offers a convenient and affordable way to travel around much of Hong Kong. Many accommodation establishments whether hotel, serviced apartment, flatshare or student dorms in Hong Kong – in downtown areas of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island as well as surrounding areas – are situated handy to the MTR.

One of the newest additions to the Hong Kong student housing scene is Campus Hong Kong. Opened in 2015, this off-campus student housing address enjoys a scenic setting on the shore of Tsuen Wan and overlooks the South China Sea and impressive landmark the Tsing Ma Bridge.

Guests at Campus Hong Kong can make use of a complimentary shuttle bus service the property runs to and from its dorms and student apartments in Tsuen Wan Road to two nearby MTR stations. Once on the MTR it’s a 20 minute trip to Tsim Sha Tsui and 30 minutes to Central on Hong Kong Island.

Facilities at Campus Hong Kong – on a free access basis – are a state-of-the-art fitness centre, sauna, 25 metre open-air swimming pool and Jacuzzi (in summer time), restaurant and gathering place for socializing, watching TV, listening to and sharing music and otherwise relaxing and chilling out.
