Cruise ships of the future: MSC Cruises to launch ‘next generation in smart …

MSC Meraviglia will be the company’s biggest ship, carrying 4,500 passengers, and will be sailing in the Western Mediterranean from Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona.

Three sister ships are expected to be delivered in 2019, 2020 and 2022.

Meanwhile, MSC Seaside will be based in Miami and its innovative design will give it a waterfront promenade right around the ship.

It will also have one of the largest and most interactive Aquaparks at sea, and the first cruise ship to feature Slide boarding technology – an interactive water park game.

It will also feature more traditional LEGO and DUPLO-themed play areas – as will two more Seaside-class ships on order.
