Disney cruise from Port Canaveral canceled

Disney Cruise Line said it has canceled the scheduled Oct. 7
departure of the Disney Dream from Port Canaveral because of Hurricane Matthew.

The Oct. 3 Disney Dream sailing has been extended for a day because Port
Canaveral will not be available for its arrival on Oct. 7, Disney said.

Disney said the Dream’s arrival is now planned for Oct. 8
once the Coast Guard has determined the port is safe for cruise operations.

Guests booked on the Oct. 7 Dream sailing may rebook a
future sailing at a discount starting Oct. 10 by calling (866) 325-3905 or (407)
566-7032.

Other ships bound for Port Canaveral are also changing plans
because of the storm, which is expected to track Florida’s east coast starting
in the afternoon of Oct. 6.

The Carnival Victory returned a day earlier than scheduled
to Port Canaveral on Oct. 5 and has sailed to sea empty. The next scheduled
sailing will be shortened by two days and depart Oct. 7, weather permitting.

Royal Caribbean International’s Majesty of the Seas has
delayed its return to Port Canaveral and is now expected back on Oct. 8.

Disney said it expects the Oct. 8 sailing of the Disney
Fantasy from Port Canaveral to proceed as planned. It said the Oct. 7 sailing
of Disney Magic from New York is being changed to a Canadian itinerary with
plans to visit Sydney and Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick.

Matthew is also shaking up the schedule at Port Miami.

The return of Royal Caribbean’s Empress of the Seas and the Carnival
Sensation scheduled for Oct. 6 will be delayed a day until Oct. 7.  Norwegian Cruise Line said the Oct. 7 sailing
of Norwegian Sky from Port Miami is still planned, as is the Oct. 8 departure
of Norwegian Escape.

Carnival also said the return of Carnival Ecstasy to
Charleston, S.C., will be delayed a day until Oct. 9.
