Brits abroad in style! Oceania Cruises targets British market with OLife offers
Next year NCL’s Norwegian Jade will homeport in Southampton, the first time there has been one of the cruise line’s ships based in the UK for 10 years.
Now it’s Oceania Cruises’ turn to target the British market and the arrival of Sirena has freed up Nautica and Marina for a series of cruises from Southampton in 2017 that range from a 12-day British Isles Medley to Scandinavian cruises from 10 to 20 days long.
Nautica had a $50million transformation in 2014 but retains a country house-style ambiance while Marina was a 2011 new-build and has a more contemporary style that attracts a younger clientele.
Bernard Carter, senior vice president and managing director of Oceania Cruises’ UK, Europe and Africa operations, says: “The UK has taken a big role in building Oceania’s business, 2016 has been a very good year for us and 2017 is looking even better – it is unprecedented for us.”
