Regent Seven Seas Cruises
said it has developed new Culinary Arts Center classes for ships sailing in the
Caribbean this winter.
They include a class featuring
Mexican dishes, a class using the distinctive flavors and spices of the
Caribbean and a class entitled “Who Doesn’t Love Brunch?”
In addition, there are new
shore excursions in the line’s Gourmet Explorer Tours series. Guests visiting
St. Lucia will taste specialties of the island served al fresco on a terrace
with views of the sea before visiting the open-air Castries Market, where
farmers sell locally grown fruits vegetables and spices. Or, those going to St.
John can go on a chef-led tour of the market in the center of downtown, followed
by instruction at a retreat owned by a renowned local chef who will teach
guests how to make the island’s signature dish, a cornmeal treat called fungi.
The Gourmet Explorer Tours
are priced at $109 per person, while the culinary classes are $89.
