Go Greek island-hopping with Celestyal Cruises

At first sight Celestyal’s non-stop offerings seem confusing: we joined at Piraeus, the port a few miles from Athens, but others embarked or disembarked at Lavrion on the other side of Athens days later.

It’s almost like being on a ferry, the process is so quick and efficient, and once you realise that you come to admire the company’s efficiency and flexibility in being able to offer several holiday products at the same time on the same ship.

We left Piraeus by about midday, an hour after boarding, and were in Syros by early evening and joining locals in the large town square to eat ice cream then walked back along the old harbour as the sun was setting, to get ready for dinner.
