DAVID Cameron has ditched economy seats with budget airlines to travel first class on a family Christmas jaunt to the Caribbean.
He regularly used easyJet and Ryanair during his time as PM to appear a man of the people.
He was even snapped scoffing Pringles on a budget flight to Portugal last year.
But he, wife Samantha and their children flew Virgin Upper Class to Antigua — with seats costing around £4,000 each.
The posh tickets include champagne and restaurant-quality food. Its seats turn into beds and come with duvets.
However a source close to the Camerons insisted they had booked economy seats, but were then treated to a free upgrade by Virgin.
The family are thought to be staying in a private villa costing between £5,000 and £10,000 a week.
The ex-PM’s spokesman would not comment.
