Pippa Middleton and James Matthews Jet Off on Their Honeymoon
After a whirlwind weekend of wedding celebrations, Pippa Middleton and James Matthews are heading off on their honeymoon.
The newlyweds were spotted at LAX this morning, en route to French Polynesia, where they will reportedly be staying at the Brando, a luxury eco-resort, 30 miles north of Tahiti.
The only hotel on Tetiaroa, a small private island that was once owned by late Academy Award-winning actor Marlon Brando, costs £3,000 per night, and is a favorite among celebrities (including Jay Z and Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio, and former president Barack Obama, who vacationed there early this year) seeking a private escape.
“Pippa and James have loved all the excitement about getting married—but obviously it became a very intense few months and they both feel they’re ready to be totally alone together,” a source told The Sun.
The same source also revealed that Pippa’s honeymoon may include multiple locations.
“Pippa was very heavily involved in the organization of the big day, and they’ve decided on two very different honeymoon breaks—first to a stunning island out in French Polynesia but then to Scotland because it’s a special place for both of them.”
