25 Best Things to do in Miami That Locals and Tourists Love in 2019

May 2019: We gave our list of the best things to do in Miami a summer refresh. With a new season upon us (it’s hard to tell summer ever left, we know), there’s more to see, eat and do in the 305. All three come together at the recently opened Time Out Market Miami, our new baby where we bring you the best food, drink and culture in the city under one roof. While parts of it are still undergoing renovations, Jungle Island returns to the list with a slew of new activities for kids and their parents. Also on our radar for families are Zoo Miami, the Bass and the Everglades. 

As any true local knows, the best things to do in Miami extend beyond lounging on the sand—though it goes without saying that spending some time on the best Miami beaches is fundamental to life in the 305. Of course, Miami is famous for its Art Deco architecture, and it’s not surprising that the U.S. host city of Art Basel Miami Beach and home to colorful Wynwood has a vibrant cultural scene. And lest we miss out on one of the most important aspects of life in the Magic City—eating!—it’s worth mentioning the booming culinary scene and the host of award-winning Miami restaurants that abound. In between sunbathing, swimming and sipping cocktails (or craft beer), check off these essential Miami experiences. By the way, this list is curated, as always, but isn’t ranked—we just couldn’t choose favorites.
