A plane was forced to make an emergency landing after a newly-wed couple got into a drunken row while flying out on their honeymoon.
The groom was arrested for being drunk and disorderly when the Delta Air Lines aircraft touched down in the Cayman Islands.
However, the bride was allowed to remain on board the flight from Atlanta to San Jose in Costa Rica, where the just-married couple had planned to spend their honeymoon.

Emergency landing: The Delta Air Lines flight was grounded in Grand Cayman
Flight 901 was forced to make an emergency landing after the man, who has not been named, became ‘disruptive’ on board the plane, prompting the crew to divert the aircraft to Grand Cayman.
The US citizen was escorted from the plane by Cayman Islands police and is being held in custody on a charge of drunk and disorderly conduct, according to Royal Cayman Islands Chief Inspector Raymond Christian.
The man could face further charges under the international air law.
Delta spokeswoman Lindsay McDuff said a ‘disruptive customer’ prompted the crew of flight 901 to divert to Grand Cayman.
‘The flight landed without incident and the customer was met by local authorities,’ she said.
It’s the second time in recent weeks that the airline has performed an emergency landing because of a passenger’s drunken behaviour.
A Delta flight from Baltimore to Salt Lake City was diverted due to an ‘intoxicated’ woman was grounded last month.

Fine these drunks the full cost of the emergency landing, and ban them from flying again.
Innocent passengers and crew should not have to put up with this loutish behaviour.
