Fred Olsen to let passengers pick the ports

Next year, passengers on a Fred Olsen Cruise Lines sailing from England will vote on where the ship calls.

The 15-day cruise on the Braemar departs Southampton on Oct. 10, 2015, visiting ports on the Iberian Peninsula.

The first decision guests will make: Vigo or Leixoes?

Passengers will have six more choices as the cruise progresses — Malaga or Gibraltar, Barcelona or Palamos, Valencia or Palma, Cartagena or Alicante, Cadiz or Portimao, Ferrol or La Coruna.

The pick-a-port cruise is a new concept for Fred Olsen “and quite possibly within the cruise industry as a whole,” the cruise line said.
