Overwater suites to become Caribbean trend
Sandals CEO Adam Stewart said the overwater suites at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica, will be ready by next winter.
He called the concept “the future of Caribbean tourism. Once one island does it, the competition will heat up.”
Stewart said that the 1,200-square-foot suites would feature infinity pools and infinity Jacuzzis on the decks.
Construction on overwater suites is also slated for St. Lucia, where the project had been previously shelved.
Stewart also said that Robert Mondavi Winery has replaced Beringer Vineyards as its primary partner for wines, and that Mondavi will produce private-label wines for Sandals.
