Emerald Lake: Located at an approximate distance of 25Km from Ooty, Emerald Lake is a wonderful lake in the upper region of the Nilgiri Hills. The site of this lake is an extremely wonderful and definitely a great place to visit. The chirping birds ducks and other swimming creatures add beauty to this serene place.

 

Rose Garden- Centenary Rose Park: Situated in the heart of Ooty town, this park is located in less than a kilometre from Charring Cross. The rose garden is laid in an approximate distance of 10 acres. The garden has been beautifully laid out in terraces with pergolas, bowers and rose tunnels.

 

Presently, this gigantic garden features one of the largest collections of roses in the country. There are approximately 3600 varieties of roses like Hybrid Tea roses, Floribunda, miniature rose, Ramblers, roses of unusual colours like black, green and many other rose types for captivating your senses.

 

Botanical Gardens: This garden is one of the most popular Ooty attractions. Covering an approximate area of 50 acres, this garden covers the slopes of Doddabetta peak.

 

Doddabetta: It is one of the highest peaks in the Nilgiris hills. If you are a trekking enthusiast, then you should not miss out a trip to this peak.

 

Government Museum: Set up in 1989, this Ooty museum is immensely popular among those individuals who are interested in collections of tribal objects artefacts.

 

Hindustan Photo Films: It is an important industrial unit in Ooty. Covering an approximate area of 300 acres, it is located at a distance of 5Km from the railway station of this hill station.

 

Kamraj Sagar Lake: It is actually a dam located on the outskirts of Ooty. The greenery woods in this place make it an ideal picnic destination. This water in this lake is extremely cold, so you can have loads of fun while fishing in this region.

 

Kandal Cross: It is a Roman Catholic Church. It is immensely popular for bringing dreams into reality. There is a popular belief among locals that those getting blessing from this church can get rid of illness.

 

Lamb’s Rock: This is a view point of this hill station where you can get immensely beautiful views of the vast lush green tea estates. It is an exceptional picnic spot, so you can take along your family members and have a gala time.

 

Tea Factory: This factory showcases the area of tea making. There is also a tour facility available inside this processing factory. As you enter in this factory, you would get a feeling that it is a museum. This factory is located on the Doddabetta Road.
