Royal Caribbean’s new reservations system goes live
Royal
Caribbean said its new reservations system, called Espresso, is now available for
general use.
The cruise
line held seminars in six cities and trained more than 6,000 agents before
going live with the new system.
Espresso
reduces the number of steps needed to make an automated booking, provides the
ability to view up to four stateroom categories at once and uses interactive deck
plans to graphically supply much of the information used in booking.
Espresso
replaces CruiseMatch, but still uses the CrusingPower.com portal. The two
systems will run parallel until Aug. 3, when CruiseMatch will be
discontinued.
