The family travel season is beckoning, but spring time is still in effect across the Caribbean, with travel suppliers offering incentives for vacationers who want to get a jump on the anticipated summer crowds for some early season sun and fun.
The offers are being extended by hotels and resorts in some of the best sun-and-fun destinations, including the Bahamas, British Virgin Islands and St. Kitts and Nevis.
Several resorts on Nassau Paradise Island in the Bahamas are extending their popular $250 “Instant Savings” promotion, under which travelers who book air-inclusive packages with stays of four nights or more by May 20, 2015 will receive $250. The offer applied to travel through Dec. 8, 2015.
The participating properties include Atlantis, Paradise Island; Best Western Bay View Suites; British Colonial Hilton Nassau; Comfort Suites Paradise Island; The Cove Atlantis; Graycliff Hotel; Harborside Resort at Atlantis; Meliá Nassau Beach Resort; OneOnly Ocean Club; Paradise Harbour Club Marina; Paradise Island Beach Club; The Reef Atlantis; Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort Offshore Island and Sunrise Beach Club Villas.
Meanwhile the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Tourist Board is inviting travelers to visit hotels and resorts across the destination that are participating in “Summer of Freedom” packages that include free nights, transportation and excursions, plus resort credits.
For example, the BVI’s Bitter End Yacht Club is offering a “Super Saver Family Package” featuring 55 percent off a connecting room for children. On the BVI’s Guana Island, uests staying seven nights in a Sea View Cottage will receive a bottle of champagne upon arrival, a private castaway beach picnic, two 50-minute massages, a private tour of the organic orchard and round-trip taxi and boat transport from Beef Island airport.
BVI’s Peter Island Resort Spa is offering one free night to guest who book four- and five-night stays. The Anegada Reef Hotel is offering a fifth free night to guests who book four nights in an ocean view room. The Sea View Hotel is offering one free night with all seven-night bookings.
In Nevis, the Paradise Beach Nevis beachfront villa resort is offering a discounted two-bedroom package villa rate, plus “Stay Longer” and “Sun Kissed Destination Wedding” packages.
The villa packages features an $850 per night rate for a two-bedroom garden villa through Oct. 30, 2015. The Stay Longer package offers a seven-night stay to guests who pay for five nights in a three- or four-bedroom room. The offer applies to three- and four-bedroom villas and is available through October 30.
The Sun Kissed Wedding package combines multiple features and services to offer couple an ideal destination wedding experience. The $1,500 package includes the services of a dedicated wedding planner; wedding fees; transportation and an escort to St. Kitts for the wedding license; the services of a justice of the peace; a decorated beachfront arbor; flowers; a West Indian wedding cake; and a bottle of champagne.
The wedding planner can arrange for additional ceremony and reception needs including a photographer and videographer, a steel pan musician, a cocktail reception and a buffet.
