Couple’s honeymoon saved by friends, family and generous travel company

DENVER — A couple from Golden will get their honeymoon to Nicaragua after all. That’s because of some generous FOX31 Denver viewers.

Thursday night we told you about an online company that went bankrupt and refused to refund the couple’s money they had already paid for the trip. Their honeymoon was lost.

But then thanks to their parents, friends and a travel company, everything is back on again.

Monograms Vacations stepped in to help.

Monogram’s Steve Born said this is not the first time they’ve heard a story like Kate and Matt’s. He offered some ways to try to keep it from happening.

“Look for a travel company as opposed to a website, do your homework and look for a tour operator like Monogram’s.”
