Royal Caribbean Q2 net income up 34%

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said net income for the second
quarter rose 34%, to $185 million.

The increase in profit was matched by an increase in revenue,
from $1.98 billion to $2.05 billion.

Royal said it increased the estimated range of 2015 earnings
by 15 cents a share to between $4.65 to $4.75 because of  beneficial currency and fuel rates.

It said better-than-expected performance in the Caribbean
and China and a modest increase in costs are essentially offsetting each
other. Royal said bookings since April have been healthy and the company continues
to be booked ahead of last year in both load factor and revenue per day.
