Princess Cruises to add new ship to fleet in 2019

Both will be sister ships to Royal Princess, launched by the Duchess of Cambridge in 2013, and Regal Princess, launched in 2014.

The as-yet unnamed 600 million-euro ship will carry 3,560 passengers and will increase Princess’ fleet to 19.

Like its sister ships it will have a vast central atrium with a selection of cafes and restaurants, shops and entertainment venues.

The outdoor Movies Under the Stars cinema experience and top-deck The Sanctuary relaxation area plus Lotus Spa will also be onboard, although new innovations will be announced at a later date – as will the ship’s itineraries.

Tony Roberts, vice president of Princess Cruises UK, said: “We’re incredibly excited to confirm that Princess Cruises’ growth continues with the order of another royal class ship.

“Demand and confidence in Princess has never been higher and we’re delighted that in just a few years’ time even more guests will get the chance to travel with us in style to over 360 destinations across the world.”
