The China completed world’s largest military project in medieval period which is even visible from the space.  The main reason to create the was to protect the Chinese empire from the invaders in the north. Over the time, the wall became the symbol of Chinese nationalism and pride. It acts as a protector of the empire against all evils.  The Ming dynasty completed its construction in the 17th century which was commissioned in the 3rd century B.C. The architectural style of the wall reflects typical Chinese construction and patterns.  The site was declared as the world heritage site by the UNESCO due to its significance to the human history.
