Hapag-Lloyd passengers will pick ports on Med cruise in May
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises said it will let guests aboard a May cruise on its Europa 2 ship pick the ports of call they want to visit once the cruise is underway.
The 10-day cruise will depart Istanbul on May 14 and terminate in Athens on May 24. Guests can choose from among 20 ports of call in a vote.
At the start of the cruise, Christian van Zwamen, captain of the 516-passenger Europa 2, will present guests with a list of potential routes and ports and point out which locations will be the sunniest over the ensuing few days. A lecturer will describe the highlights of the potential destinations. The guests will then vote to determine their route across Greece and Turkey, Hapag-Lloyd said.
The Europa 2 Surprise Cruise is being offered starting at $5,750 per person, cruise only; that rate is available through Feb. 29, Hapag-Lloyd said.
