Cruising in Dubai

The Dhow dinner cruise in Dubai was an amazing surprise. My husband surprised me with an evening out for our anniversary and it turned out to be a trip that I will never forget. He said he had made plans and had everything arranged. He told me to put on something comfortable but nice, casual but conservative. He told me when were we leaving and I was to be ready to go because he had a surprise for me. You can imagine my shock when a car pulled up to pick us up. He escorted me to the car, opened my door, and away we went.

We arrived at the beautiful Dubai marina where a Dhow dinner cruise awaited us. We were greeted by a courteous crew who offered me a beverage. I chose a cup of tea as I climbed on board the stunning boat. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the features of the boat were. It was clean and shiny and like nothing I would have expected. The lighting on the boat set a very romantic and comfortable scene.

We made our way to our seats where we were to partake in a five course meal. The food was gourmet and a mixture of Asian, Arabic, and continental cuisine. There were lots of vegetable to choose from just like I like to eat. We got our bellies full of food and then we watched a dance show. The amazing dancers were skilled at their art and I watched in awe. The music that we listened to was relaxing and comforting. It was something I’d never heard before. The entire atmosphere was perfect for an anniversary surprise.

After we ate we decided to go for a walk up on deck. I am glad we did because the view was amazing. The sun had set and so the city lights were glowing . It was a view that you could only appreciate from the water. As we floated by I could hear the water washing all of my cares away. I looked at my husband with admiration for putting together the best anniversary surprise. The views were breathtaking. I don’t think we said anything to each other. We just knew that it was great to be in that moment together. After 15 years, this was a great way to celebrate our love and commitment.

The dhow dinner cruise in Dubai lasted two hours. It was the best two hours of our trip to Dubai. The luxury car took us back to our hotel where we spent hours talking about the amazing experience. The family is going to be very jealous that we were able to participate in such a remarkable activity. I don’t think that he will be able to top this gift on future anniversaries. The dhow dinner cruise was the best gift on the recent trip we had ever been on.
