How to honeymoon in Bali like Bipasha and Karan under Rs 1 lakh

Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is where you will find many luxury resorts. White sand beaches that are safe for swimming, temples and a museum are attractions you can check out here. An 18-hole golf course and shopping markets are other things you can check out.

Resorts like Novotel, Westin and Grand Hyatt are luxury resorts in Nusa Dua. If you are looking for mid-range hotels, opt for The Puri or Bali Tropic Resort and Spa. Manuh homestay and Rasa Sayang Beach Inn are budget accommodation options.

Seminyak

If you both love to party and explore a city’s nightlife, head to Seminyak. The area is known for its clubs, pubs and rooftop restaurants that add a glitzy touch to Bali. Seminyak is also a beach resort and you will find spas and hotels all around town. With so many high-end places here, you can expect to get stuck traffic in Seminyak. Several boutique shops line the streets of Seminyak.

Grandmas Hotel and Ananda Resort are two budget accommodation options though you can also find a few apartment rentals in Seminyak. Taman Mesari Luxury Villas and Seri Suites are mid-range hotels while W Retreat Spa and the Uma Villas are private luxury villa options.

Ubud

If you’ve seen Eat Pray Love, you may remember Julia Roberts finding love in Bali while getting exotic massages. Some parts of the film was shot in Ubud which is known for its paddy fields and slow-paced life. Away from the party scene, Ubud is a cluster of villages where you can explore its natural beauty. Cycle around town, admire the greenery, visit art galleries and Ubud Monkey Forest.

You will find plenty of homestays in Ubud that are cheap and affordable. Upgrade to villas and cottages if you want something more luxurious and if prefer a resort or hotel, opt for Barong Resort and Spa, Kanamya Resort and Spa.

How much it will cost

Airfare: A round trip to Bali will cost you anything between Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 per person. There aren’t direct flights and you will mostly have a long halt in Singapore.

Accommodation: Bali has accommodation for all budget types. Depending on how much you want to spend, you can opt for bed-and-breakfast (Rs 750/night onwards), studio apartments, budget hotels (Rs 1750/night onwards) or luxury resorts (Rs 8,000/night onwards).

Getting around: Renting cars or bikes with or without a driver isn’t too expensive and you can also haggle with them to get a cheaper price.

Eating out: A meal in Bali at a decent restaurant will cost you about Rs 1500 to Rs 2,000 for two with alcohol.

Should you check into a mid-range hotel a week’s stay in Bali, inclusive of airfare, local transport and food should cost you about Rs 100,000 for a couple.
