Windstar sailing Alaska cruises
Windstar Cruises said it will deploy a ship to Alaska in the
summer of 2018 for the first time in two decades.
The Star Legend will do 11- to 14-day cruises, allowing for
slower speeds and greater opportunities for wildlife spotting.
The 212-passenger ship is small enough to sail through Misty
Fjords National Monument and Kenai Fjords National Park, Windstar said. Every cruise
will feature an exploration of Tracey Arm Fjord.
Windstar will offer three itineraries with eight sailing
dates from May to August, including a 14-day Seward-to-Vancouver option; a
12-day Vancouver roundtrip, and 11- or 12-day Vancouver-to-Seward
voyages.
Windstar plans to offer pre- and post-cruise land
excursions, giving guests more time to explore Alaska’s interior.
