In the wake of Viking explorers, a North Atlantic cruise

This fall 2016 photo shows the historic waterfront, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Bergen, Norway, where the Viking Star cruise ship began its two-week “In the Wake of the Vikings” cruise. The wharf dates to the Middle Ages. The itinerary through the North Atlantic traces the route of the Vikings, beginning in Norway and ending in Quebec, stopping in between in Scotland, Greenland, Iceland and Newfoundland.
