Micetrip – Join Us for the Micechat Sip & Nibble and Caribbean Cruise October 2019

This fall, MiceChat will be setting sail on the beautiful Harmony of the Seas and cruising the Western Caribbean. But that’s not all! We’re starting our trip in Orlando, Florida with a MiceChat Invasion of Walt Disney World, tour of the 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, Mickey’s Halloween Party, Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, and much more.

The Studios Reborn – October 17th

The fun starts on Thursday, October 17th! We’ll gather in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and explore the NEW attractions. If you haven’t had a chance to visit Toy Story Land yet, be sure to join us while we ride the best new rollercoaster in the park, Slinky Dog Dash! We’ll take a spin on the Alien Swirling Saucers and enjoy a snack at Woody’s Lunch Box. Of course, the real feature is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge where we’ll take a thrilling interactive trip on the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run! Hopefully, Rise of the Resistance will be open by the time we visit as well!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party – October 17th

We’ll end the evening with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. Whether you come in costume or just enjoy watching other guests’ clever outfits, it’s a party not to be missed! We’ll trick-or-treat at the candy stations, watch the parade (easily one of Disney’s best) as it follows the Headless Horseman down Main Street and enjoy the new Halloween fireworks!!!

MiceChat Sip Nibble – October 18th

The famous MiceChat Sip Nibble returns! Join your MiceChat friends as we walk around the Epcot World Showcase and sample food items from the different festival pavilions. With so many of us taking turns buying food and drinks, you’ll be able to sample all the different types of cuisine without breaking the bank or getting full too quickly to enjoy everything! Be sure to join us early, since we try to beat the crowds.

Eat and drink around the world with Mickey and your MiceChat friends!

The 2019 Food and Wine Festival menu hasn’t been published yet, but some of our favorite sips and nibbles from previous years include:

  • Canadian Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup from the Canada pavilion
  • Frozen Margarita with Limoncello and Tequila from the Italy pavilion
  • Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto from the Australian pavilion
  • Guinness Baileys Shake from the Ireland pavilion
  • Kalua Pork Slider with Pineapple Chutney from the Hawaii pavilion

Then, at the end of the day, we’ll see the new Epcot lagoon fireworks show “Epcot Forever,” which is replacing Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. The new show will feature classic music from Epcot’s past, such as Tomorrow’s Child, Magic Journeys, and more. While it sounds amazing, this is just a temporary production while a whole new show is prepared. So let’s take this opportunity to see this nostalgic tribute to Epcot.

MiceChat Takes on the World – October 19th

The following day, Saturday, October 19th, We’ll start the day by taking on a banshee in Pandora’s Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom! And if you haven’t been on a jungle trek with Dusty, you are missing out. Wear your comfortable shoes as we go in search of Animal Kingdom’s wild side.

Universal Halloween Horror Nights – October 19th

That night, we’ll take the brave on a trip to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights! Universal offers one of the most amazing . . . and scary . . . Halloween Events. Not for the weak of heart, but there’s strength in numbers. This year features several brand new mazes, like an updated Stranger Things maze and the Universal Monsters maze, along with many more mazes to be announced. For tickets, book through Fairy Godmother Travel.

Whether you’re new to the Orlando parks or are a WDW pro, there’s always something new to experience when you visit the parks with MiceChat. But that’s all just the beginning!

Harmony of the Seas – October 20th-27th

After three days of adventure in the parks, it’ll be time to relax! On Sunday, October 20th, we’ll board the Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas for a week-long cruise. The joy of cruising with MiceChat is always having someone to have dinner and/or drinks with but also having the freedom to do the things yo want to do. We’ll have suggested group activities and excursions every day, but they are not mandatory. You do what YOU want to do.

We’ll have plenty of things to do, both on and off the ship! Our ports of call will be:

  • Perfect Day at Coco Cay in the Bahamas (with its highly acclaimed new water park)
  • Cozumel, Mexico
  • Roatan, Honduras (This beautiful little island has the second largest barrier reef in the world)
  • Costa Maya, Mexico (See Mayan ruins on land or beautiful coral reefs at sea)

And in addition to that, there will be two beautiful sea days where we can explore the ship! We can wander Central Park, ride one of the three Perfect Storm water slides, or go ziplining at sea. At night, why not take in a show? Harmony of the Seas is home to the Broadway musical Grease, plus an ice-skating theatre and the stunning AquaTheater, the deepest pool at sea.

Watch stunt divers perform “The Fine Line” or “Hideaway Heist” onboard the Harmony of the Seas!

The fun doesn’t stop when we reach the ports of call, though! We’ll be organizing official MiceChat shore excursions so that we can see the best the Western Caribbean has to offer. Whether it’s snorkeling or sunbathing, kayaking or sight-seeing tours, we’ll make memories at each port destination.
