Cruise secrets: Crew reveal ‘worst nightmare’ on board a ship – it’s not what you think
Joshua Kinser, who worked on cruise ships for more than five years, detailed the experience in his new book, Chronicles of a Cruise ship.
Writing on the worst side of ship life, he wrote: “At the back of the room, we found out worst nightmare: a wall.
“Right where our beautiful porthole windows had been on our last ship – the little round window that let the beautiful sunlight pour into our lives like a fountain of pure gold.
“Now we saw nothing but a barren, solid, ran, dirty old wall that was probably about as clean as the gangway handrails at the end of embarkation day.
He aded: “I thought back to the time when we could look out our porthole window and see the ocean, the beautiful and shimmering ocean.
