Cruise secrets: Crew reveals passengers should always do this – you might not realise

Cruise ships do have luggage allowance restrictions in place – but its a good idea to research ahead and see what you’re allowed to bring.

By taking along your own beverages you could save yourself a fair bit of money.

“Passengers, if they drink alcohol or soda, should always take advantage of the rule on most ships that allows them to bring a certain amount of alcohol and sodas on board with them in their luggage,” Kinser told Express.co.uk.

“Most cruise lines allow passengers to bring one bottle of wine or champagne and a six-pack of soda on board with them.

“The amount varies so check with the cruise line before you pack,” Kinser cautioned.

“A lot of passengers don’t realise this is allowed and the prices of alcohol and sodas aboard cruise ships is about the same as a front-row ticket to see Elton John.”
