Need insights into the cruise market? CruiseCompete reports the release of its CruiseTrends and Cruise Index for June 2014. The report is sponsored by EyeforTravel Ltd. The report offers an insight into what is  most popular among consumers, including the top ships, lines and travel dates for premium, luxury and river cruising – and a glimpse at 2015.

The CruiseCompete Cruise Index for June 2014 is 148, the same as May 2014, and one point lower than June 2013. Regional pricing indices saw decreases in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Europe, the company says. The CruiseCompete Cruise Index is calculated based on the average daily per-passenger (double occupancy) cost for the lowest-priced oceanview cabin category on a seven-night cruise on the six largest North American cruise lines.
