Travel Impacted to Caribbean Islands Due to Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Maria has impacted travel throughout the Caribbean. Now that Maria is gone, airlines are working hard to restore travel operations, despite difficult conditions in areas like Puerto Rico, where the entire island is currently without power.

American Airlines says they are beginning limited operations to Puerto Rico on Sunday, September 24th.

One flight will leave Miami International Airport at 6 a.m. on Sunday and will arrive in San Juan. Another flight will leave San Juan at 12 p.m. local time.

Operations remain suspended in St. Croix Island, St. Maarten and St. Thomas Island. Operations are normal, however, in Turks and Caicos.
