Kaley Cuoco recovers from shoulder surgery five days after wedding

It’s safe to say Kaley Cuoco‘s honeymoon did not go as planned.

Visiting the hospital doesn’t sound like a first choice destination for a honeymoon, but five days after their wedding, Kaley Cuoco and her new husband are keeping a sense of humor following her stint in the hospital for shoulder surgery.
“The Big Bang Theory” actress and equestrian Karl Cook posed for a selfie Thursday while Cuoco laid in a hospital bed after undergoing surgery for an undisclosed medical issue. Other posts from Cook’s account show Cuoco getting a lot of rest — but the couple is keeping things light, using the hashtag #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon to share pictures of her recovery.
“When your ‘honeymoon’ is shoulder surgery and your husband looks just as happy lol,” Cuoco captioned the Instagram post. “On the road to recovery – thank you for all the love and support! … Knowing @mrtankcook I’m sure he will be posting tons of hilarious gems.”

The good news: it doesn’t appear that the surgery got in the way of any big travel plans. Cuoco previously said she didn’t think the couple would opt to go on a honeymoon.
“We travel a lot and I kind of consider a honeymoon our backyard and the farm and the horses,” she said at a PaleyFest event in March. “That’s, like, our favorite downtime, so two weeks alone on the farm would be my honeymoon.”

Cuoco and Cook wed Saturday in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., according to Entertainment Tonight and The Hollywood Reporter.
“Legally KCSQUARED,” Cuoco captioned an Instagram post.
