Hundreds of soon-to-be husbands and wives, as well as their loved ones, maneuvered through a crowded room on March 2 at Walt Disney World’s Yacht Club Convention Center to sample cakes, meet with planners, draw inspiration from decadent table designs and more.
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings Showcase draws many guests each year during its annual expo that shows the latest in wedding planning at the place where dreams come true.
Korri McFann, marketing director for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings Honeymoons, said over 800 couples and their entourages attended the 2019 showcase.
“Today’s event is a must-have and a don’t-miss. Today is all about getting inspiration, having meaningful conversations, getting a chance to talk to Disney wedding consultants and Disney wedding planners, getting a chance to taste food, make decisions,” she said. “It’s really about inspiration.”
Throughout the four-hour event, attendees gathered information about menus, venues, cakes, table setting, photography, videography, entertainment, honeymoon options and the latest in wedding dress trends, courtesy of Kleinfeld Bridal.
Plus, there was plenty of food and cakes to sample as well as a bar — because responsible wedding hosts should test what they’ll be serving their guests.
“Planning a wedding can certainly be very overwhelming, but when you come here for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, that’s what we do best,” McFann said. “We hold their hand from the moment they come all the way through the wedding planning process. And what we like to say here at Disney is that we allow them to be a guest at their own wedding.”
