Cruises: Never book this cruise ship cabin – unless you’re willing to take a BIG risk
Guaranteed cabins may at first sound like a good idea, and indeed they come with big discounts.
These mean you’ll definitely get a cabin on the ship – you just won’t know where exactly on board it will be.
Cruise specialist website Cruise Bulletin explains why these rooms could be a bad idea, even though they might cost less.
“These types of cabins are sold with a big discount on them (which is why they get booked),” Cruise Bulletin said.
“The cruise lines do tend to use them to fill up those ‘awkward’ spots that guests wouldn’t normally choose to book.
“These include cabins above the theatre, below the sundeck and next to the lifts are common examples.”
