Florida-bound Norwegian Encore gets first taste of water

Now that its been floated out, the nearly 1,100-foot-long, 169,000-gross-ton ship that has a guest capacity of 3,998 based on double occupancy, will have final construction completed in the next months, and then make the long, slow trip down the Ems River from the shipyard so it can perform sea trials ahead of its delivery date to the cruise line on Oct. 30.
