Best Credit Cards for Cruises in February 2020

It may go against the grain to suggest a hotel card to help you with cruising, but Hyatt recently partnered with luxury sailing company Lindblad Expeditions. Lindblad specializes in curated itineraries to dream destinations such as Antarctica, Egypt and the Galapagos Islands. The Lindblad experience features smaller ships and special touches you won’t find anywhere else.

Hyatt points can now be redeemed for Lindblad cruises at a rate of 1.6 cents each. While one credit card bonus won’t get you a free cruise, points can be combined between members to help get you on your dream trip.

Rewards: 4 points per dollar spent at Hyatt hotels, 2 points per dollar spent at restaurants, on gym memberships, transit and airline tickets, 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases

Annual Fee: $95

Bonus Offer: Earn 25,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening plus, 25,000 Bonus Points after you spend $6,000 total within 6 months of account opening.

Other benefits or drawbacks: Every cardholder will receive one free night at Hyatt Category 1-4 hotels per anniversary year, an additional free night with $15,000 spending on the card.

The card also comes with automatic Hyatt Discoverist status. After the five qualifying credits that come annually with the card, you can earn an additional two credits with every $5,000 in spending. Lindblad offers $250 shipboard credit to World of Hyatt members, whether or not they have the credit card.
