Oceania cruise to premiere PBS documentary on Italian Americans

A 10-day Mediterranean cruise on the Oceania Riviera will be the venue for the debut of “The Italian-Americans,” a new documentary series produced for the Public Broadcasting System (PBS).

Guests on the ship will see screenings of the four-part series, narrated by actor Stanley Tucci, and talk to its producers, writers and directors.

In addition, there will be a program of wine tastings, cooking classes and a book signing available for a nominal fee.

A special package, limited to 300 guests, will include dinners and cocktail functions with guest speakers. The package also provides access to exclusive shore excursions that tie into the Italian-American theme.

The Enchanting Riviera cruise from Athens to Monte Carlo is scheduled to depart Oct. 29. The series is expected to appear on PBS in 2015.
