Agent wins Star Alliance round-the-world honeymoon

Kylie Foster, a Port Macquarie senior travel consultant with Helloworld Settlement city has become the lucky winner of two round-the-world tickets, by completing Star Alliances online training program.

The newly developed online training program, was developed to update agents on Star Alliances recently expanded range of economy and business class round the world fare levels.

By completing the program Foster automatically went into the draw to be crowned the 2014 Star Alliance Expert and astonishingly won the grand prize. Her answer to the training courses final question- ‘How would you promote Star Alliance to your customers’, was unanimously voted as the best response by five Star Alliance member airlines.

Foster couldn’t have timed her win better as she is due to celebrate her wedding with fiancé Matt in Port Macqurie next April. This gives the couple the chance to celebrate their honeymoon courtesy to Star Alliance with the previously mentioned round- the-world tickets as well as $500 spending money.

Foster shared that her intial reaction was complete shock as she had forgotten about the major prize and completed the five modules fairly quickly as she like to keep up to date with product training. “We’re thinking of using the tickets to take a six-week honeymoon that will include Africa, a bit of Europe, New York and then maybe the Cook Islands on the way home.” Foster said.

Star Alliance country steering committee chair Craig McCarthy describes the online training program as a major success for the world’s leading airline alliance and Australian travel agents.

“The record-breaking number of participants that completed the course highlights the genuine desire among consultants to constantly enhance their knowledge of Star Alliance’s products and services.” McCarty stated

McCarty praised Foster as an outstanding recipient of the Star Alliance Expert award, and on behalf of all Star Alliance member carriers he wished her and Matt a wonderful future together.
