NTCC has chosen the recipients of its “12-13-14” prize package

The Kotarskis love Niagara USA –
and each other. The couple wed Dec. 13, 2014, the last number-sequential date
until Jan. 2, 2034, and held a Niagara County-themed wedding. They didn’t plan
on taking a honeymoon this year, until recently.

With Niagara Falls being the
“Honeymoon Capital of the World,” Niagara Tourism Convention
Corp. offered couples the chance to celebrate their marriages on this
auspicious date with the contest “Take the plunge! … then Honeymoon in
Niagara Falls USA!” Couples who got married (anywhere) Dec. 13 were
eligible to enter by emailing a copy of their marriage license with a brief
description of themselves and why they want to honeymoon in Niagara Falls USA.

“We don’t have the vacation
time to travel far right now, so a honeymoon in Niagara Falls would give us the
opportunity to experience more of the Falls,” the Kotarskis said in an
email. “We have lived in Niagara Falls our entire lives and, although we
have traveled extensively throughout North America and Europe, we always enjoy
the local events Niagara Falls has to offer.”

The Kotarskis exchanged vows at
The Winery at Marjim Manor, and held their reception at the Quality Hotel
Suites “At the Falls,” serving culinary delights reflective of the
region to their guests. In their spare time, the couple enjoys frequenting the
Niagara Falls Culinary Institute and attending events on Old Falls Street.

“The ’12-13-14′ contest was a
great way to showcase our attractions and remind the world that we are still
the Honeymoon Capital of the World,” said John Percy, NTCC president and
CEO. “The Kotarskis are a perfect example of the passion residents should
have for our region, and I congratulate them on their marriage.”

Niagara Resort Casino; Discovery Passes to the Maid of the Mist, Cave of
the Winds, Niagara Scenic Trolley, Aquarium of Niagara, Discovery Center and
Niagara Adventure Theater; tickets for Niagara Jet Adventures, Rainbow Air Inc.
helicopter tours, the Erie Canal Discovery Center, the Niagara County History
Center, Old Fort Niagara and Spirit of the Mist; entertainment at the Riviera Theater
Performing Arts Center; wine tastings at select properties on the Niagara
Wine Trail USA; and transportation provided by Mac Limo.
