Un-Cruise Adventures has announced that it has partnered with Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch, promising to serve only seafood caught or farmed in “ocean-friendly” ways.
Seafood Watch educates consumers and businesses about the importance of maintaining “healthy oceans” through sustainable fishery and making good choices about which seafood options are best for the environment.
The cruise line is the first to team up with the consumer education initiative, and it pledges to serve only seafood rated a “Best Choice” or “Good Alternative”, as well as educate its customers, suppliers and employees about sustainability issues.
Un-cruise’s fleet of eight vessels travels on river tours throughout Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, Columbia Snake Rivers, Hawaii, Mexico’s Sea of Cortés, Costa Rica and Panama.
