Princess Cruises announces ‘Grown-up Gap Year’ cruise from Southampton to …

The cruise onboard 3,000-guest Emerald Princess is a 48-night trip of a lifetime, calling at 15 ports as it sails to Sydney.

After calling at several Italian destinations the ship heads through the Suez Canal to Egypt, Jordan and Dubai, then on to India, Singapore and Thailand before calls in Australia at Freemantle, Margaret River, Melbourne and Sydney.

Fares start at £5,739 per person, based on two people sharing a cabin, cruise-only, and the cruise can be booked now.

The Four Continents Grand Adventure is Princess’s longest-ever cruise from Britain, and is part of a move to have more UK departures.

In all, Princess ships will sail from Southampton 15 times between April and September next year – up on 10 this year.

This will include a longer Mediterranean programme, with  free drinks packages available on all cruises to the Med and Northern Europe booked before June 30, 2015.
